At the SCERT auditorium in Dehradun, the Department of Education signed two significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) under the chairmanship of the Minister of School Education, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. These agreements have been executed with India Glycols Limited (Kashipur) and the Department of Technical Education, with the objective of connecting students with skills, technology, and employment opportunities right from the school level.
Key Highlights:
โข Linkage with Technical Education: Under this agreement, government schools and intermediate colleges will be linked with nearby polytechnic institutions. Students who have passed Class 10 will be eligible for admission into the first year of a diploma program, while students who have passed Class 12 (with PCM subjects) will be able to gain direct admission into the second year (via lateral entry). This initiative will lead to the expansion of technical education.
โข Collaboration with India Glycols Limited: The company will utilize its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds to strengthen the infrastructure of government schools. As part of this initiative, digital learning systems will be promoted, and capacity-building programs will be conducted for teachers.
