Tharali: A sad news is coming out amidst the three-tier Panchayat elections. The candidate for the post of Pradhan of Devalgwad village of Tharali development block died during treatment in the hospital. Due to which the election of the post of Gram Pradhan in Devalgwad has been postponed for the time being. After which the election of Gram Pradhan will not be held.
Let us tell you that for the past few days, the candidate for the post of Pradhan, Rajendra Singh, son of Nain Singh, age 38, was admitted to the hospital due to sudden deterioration in his health. Where he was being treated, but suddenly on Saturday a sad news came out. Due to which the tears of the villagers of Devalgwad are not stopping. After this sad incident, there is a wave of mourning in the entire area.
Local villagers say that Rajendra’s health started deteriorating a few days ago. With the help of the villagers, Rajendra Singh was brought to the Community Health Center Tharali for treatment. Seeing Rajendra’s condition, the doctors referred him to a higher center. After this, his treatment was going on in Srinagar. The doctors referred him to Jolly Grant after two days of treatment. Rajendra Singh died during treatment in Jolly Grant on Saturday.
Rajendra Singh’s father had died 3 years ago. His mother had died 8 years ago. Rajendra Singh, the only breadwinner of the family, has left behind his wife Urvashi and two sons aged 4 and 6 years. Block Election Officer Avnish Gautam informed that the election of Devalgwad Gram Pradhan has been postponed for the time being. The election process for other posts is going on.
Let us tell you that three-tier panchayat elections are to be held in Uttarakhand in the remaining 12 districts except Haridwar district. Panchayat elections will be held in two phases in the state. Voting will be held on July 24 under the first phase. The second phase will be held on July 28. Counting of votes for panchayat elections will be held simultaneously on July 31.
