The upcoming Jagra Fair 2026 at the Shri Mahasu Devta Temple in Hanol, Dehradun, will be organized on a grand scale, following the ‘One District-One Festival’ model. A review meeting regarding preparations for the fair was held at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan.
The main events of the fair are scheduled for September 13 and 14, 2026; the night of September 13 will feature the traditional ‘Jagar’ ritual, while September 14 will host various religious and cultural programs.
• Traffic and Parking: A clear traffic plan, adequate parking facilities, and police deployment will be ensured for smooth movement. Strict monitoring against vehicle overloading will be enforced.
• Basic Amenities: Clean drinking water, water tanker arrangements, regular sanitation, mobile toilets, and uninterrupted power supply will be ensured.
• Roads and Health: Repairs to access roads will be completed before the fair begins. Additionally, a medical team—equipped with medicines and a 24-hour emergency ambulance—will be deployed.
The District Magistrate instructed all departments to coordinate effectively and complete the necessary arrangements on time.
