Captain Gambhir Singh Dhami (Retd.), President of the Khatima Ex-Servicemen Organization, met with the Minister for Soldiers’ Welfare, Ganesh Joshi, at his official residence today. During the meeting, the organization’s president submitted a memorandum to Minister Joshi, pressing for the allocation of a URC code to the CSD canteen located in Khatima. The president explained that obtaining a URC code would greatly facilitate ex-servicemen in the region—along with their families—in accessing essential amenities.
Responding positively to the request, Minister Ganesh Joshi assured that necessary action would be taken in the matter expeditiously. Minister Joshi affirmed that the government remains committed to the welfare of ex-servicemen and is making continuous efforts to resolve their issues. Offering a positive assurance, the Minister for Soldiers’ Welfare stated that the matter would be reviewed at the departmental level, and appropriate measures would be implemented.
