The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Tiranga Yatra’ campaigns on a massive scale in Uttarakhand. State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan stated that, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, these campaigns will be conducted from August 10 to August 15, 2026. A special state-level team has been constituted under the coordination of State Vice President Shailendra Bisht to ensure the successful execution of the initiative; Gunjan Sukhija, Gaurav Pandey, and Vipul Maindoli have been appointed as co-convenors.
State President Mahendra Bhatt remarked that this campaign has now evolved into a mass movement of patriotism. The initiative aims to have the Tricolour hoisted at every home, business establishment, and office across the state from August 13 to August 15.
Key events of the campaign:
• Tiranga Yatra: Grand ‘Tiranga Yatras’ (processions featuring the national flag) will be organized in every *Mandal* (party unit) from August 10 to August 14, led by the Yuva Morcha.
• Honouring Martyrs: Cleanliness drives and floral tributes will be held at martyrs’ memorials, and the families of brave soldiers and security personnel will be honoured.
• Public Awareness: Various cultural and social programmes will be organized to instil a spirit of patriotism among the youth and connect them with the resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047).
