With a resolve for social harmony and equal opportunity, the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha organized a one-day protest demonstration at all district headquarters in Uttarakhand on Monday. A large number of cabinet ministers and party workers participated in the main protest held at Gandhi Park in Dehradun.
• Questioning the Congress: Speakers questioned Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about the concrete steps taken for the upliftment of Dalit, marginalized, and backward communities during the party’s long tenure in power.
• Allegation of Neglecting Dr. Ambedkar: Leaders alleged that the Congress ignored the contributions of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and failed to confer the ‘Bharat Ratna’ upon him in a timely manner, while bestowing this honor upon its own leaders.
• Pledge for Social Harmony: The Morcha emphasized that the BJP is committed to the dignity, unity, and rights of the last person in society.
Several senior leaders, including Cabinet Ministers Rekha Arya and Ganesh Joshi, MLA Vinod Chamoli, and Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, were present at the protest.
