Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi held a departmental review meeting with the officials of Sainik Welfare Department at the camp office on New Cantt Road in Dehradun on Tuesday. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the progress of the construction of Sainik Dham.
Sainik Welfare Minister Joshi directed the officials to complete the works of the last phase of the construction of Sainik Dham at the earliest. He said that this is an ambitious project of the state government and action should be ensured to complete it on top priority.
In the meeting, he also discussed the salary related problem of Upanal employees of Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College, Haldwani. The Sainik Welfare Minister talked to the Principal Secretary Chief Minister and Secretary Health over the phone and directed that the matter related to salary payment should be resolved soon so that Upanal employees get salary on time and health services can be operated uninterruptedly.
Sainik Welfare Minister also reviewed the preparations for the program “Shaheed Samman Yatra” to honor the families of the martyrs proposed in the coming month of September and directed to ensure all the arrangements on time.
Additional Secretary of Sainik Welfare Department Shyam Singh, Director Brigadier (Retd) Amritlal, MD of UPNL Brigadier (Retd) JNS Bisht, Deputy Director Wing Commander (Retd) Nidhi Badhani, Deputy Director Colonel (Retd) Yogendra Kumar along with officials of the departmental and implementing agency were present in the meeting.
