Senior BJP MLA Vinod Chamoli said that the way the party has achieved a one-sided victory in the panchayats after the civic body is a clear indication that the Dhami government is going to do a hat-trick in the 2027 assembly elections.
While talking to reporters at the party office, Chamoli said that our government was repeated earlier also due to good work and the way Chief Minister Dhami is standing with the people in their happiness and sorrow by taking historic decisions, no one should doubt our claims. He targeted the Congress that there is a competition going on there to abuse the BJP and make false allegations.
He said that the state is battling a disaster and under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, the government is working with full sensitivity, promptness and capability in relief and rescue management. Wherever the public is in trouble, the Chief Minister himself is reaching there and trying to reduce their pain. During the rescue itself, as initial help, 5 lakhs are being given immediately to the families of the deceased and the homeless people. With the help of the Center, our government is running the best disaster management till date and is providing help to the affected. In response to a question, he said that cabinet expansion is the prerogative of the Chief Minister as per the advice of the Center and the state leadership. In such a situation, a decision on this subject will be taken at the right time. Regarding the small number of ministers, he said, the Chief Minister has taken big historic and bold decisions in the current cabinet itself. All of us MLAs and the organization together have developed the state by implementing his decisions on the ground. This cabinet took decisions like conversion law, uniform civil code, copy law, anti-riot law, which is creating a very good image of the state.
While answering questions about the work of the government, he said, if we look at the first term of the BJP government, its result was that we came back to power. We came back to power only when good work was done and now the kind of results that are coming out are an indication of the party’s hat-trick in 27. Because when decisions have to be taken about political parties, the view towards them is formed on the basis of public opinion in democracy. In such a situation, if you look at the local body elections till now, BJP has won one-sidedly. Now they won one-sidedly in the district panchayat elections as well. The kind of public support BJP is continuously getting shows BJP in a very good position. And in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, we are going to score a hat-trick.
He said that those who are saying that this is a semi-final, then you can see that how well we have won the semi-final, how much better the final will be.
In response to the questions being raised about law and order, he said, it should not be seen on the basis of some incidents but holistically. Law and order is completely fine in the state, strict action has been taken in all the big incidents that have come to the fore. Whatever investigation is being done in the remaining cases, the police is doing a better job in that.
At the same time, countering the allegations made by Congress leaders on BJP, he said, these days there is a competition of abusing in the opposition. Whoever abuses BJP there and makes a big false allegation, he will be called a big leader there. This type of competition is going on in the Congress and this atmosphere is going to increase as the elections approach.
