The central government has sanctioned Rs 547.83 crore for underground cabling in Rishikesh and Dehradun with the aim of making the power infrastructure modern and safe. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this.
Expressing gratitude on social media, he wrote that on the earlier request, the central government has approved Rs 547.83 crore for underground cabling in Rishikesh and SCADA works in Dehradun. This project is an important step towards making the power infrastructure modern, safe and reliable. Underground cabling will make power supply more stable.
There will be protection from disaster and weather-related obstructions. Maintenance cost will be reduced and urban beauty will also improve. He said that our double engine government is committed to the all-round and all-inclusive development of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
