In the three-tier panchayat elections, police wireless and satellite phones will be used in those shadow areas where there is no telecom connectivity. On Tuesday, State Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar held a meeting with all the nodal officers and alerted them.
The State Election Commissioner held a meeting with the nodal officers of all the concerned departments like Public Works Department, Health, Transport, Police, Administration, Disaster Management etc. through virtual medium. He made it clear to all the departments that during the election period, all the control rooms will run 24 hours. Teams will be committed to resolve any information immediately if it comes from anywhere.
Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar said that if the road is obstructed somewhere, then all the concerned departments from PWD to it will make the traffic smooth in minimum time. All the nodal officers have been instructed to ensure that all the polling parties reach their destination on time. Instructions were also given to keep the communication system smooth.
District Magistrate, Observers will also keep an eye
Along with the weather activities, all the District Magistrates as well as the observers will also keep an eye on the road routes and disaster situation. Election Commission Secretary Rahul Goyal said that all the teams involved in the elections and their responsible officers are in alert mode.
