Srinagar Garhwal: The series of accidents during the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand is not stopping. The latest case is from Devprayag police station area. Two devotees were injured in a bike accident here. The accident took place about 500 meters ahead of Mulya village, about 8 kilometers before Devprayag. Both the youths riding the bike were devotees, who were going towards Srinagar.
Painful road accident near Devprayag: Honda Shine bike went out of control and met with an accident. In the accident, bike rider Mintu Mishra (age 27 years), resident of Sundar Vihar, New Delhi, fell on the road and got injured. At the same time, the other youth Ramesh Mishra (age 30 years), son of Kushekhar Mishra, resident of Lilwa, Howrah, West Bengal, fell into a ditch about 200 meters deep along with the bike during the accident.
SDRF rescued: As soon as the information about the accident was received, Post Srinagar was informed by Devprayag police station. After which the Srinagar team of SDRF immediately left for the spot. The team reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation. Ramesh Mishra, who fell into a deep ditch, was barely pulled out safely by SDRF personnel.
Two people injured in the accident: After the rescue, the injured Ramesh Mishra was provided first aid. After this, he was handed over to the district police and sent to Srinagar Hospital through ambulance. Mintu Mishra, who was injured on the road, was also given first aid on the spot. The police and administration have appealed to the passengers to be cautious on the travel routes.
Accident happened last month as well: It is worth noting that on June 29 last month also, a horrific road accident took place in Devprayag near Srinagar. Then the pickup vehicle fell into the ditch. 1 person died in that accident. 1 person was injured. This accident happened near Shivmurti. In this accident, the pickup driver Sumit son Hem Singh (age 29 years), resident of village Birsadi, Block Kot, Patti Kandwalsyu, district Pauri Garhwal suffered a head injury. Due to this, he died on the spot. Sumit’s friend from the village, Dhirendra son of Sultan Singh (age about 36 years) was seriously injured.
