He said that many countries of the world do not have as much population as the number of Kanwar pilgrims that will be dealt with by the administration in these 13 days. While guiding, he said that a coffee table book based on the Kanwar Yatra should be made in 2025, which should include all aspects including preparations, challenges, faith.
While guiding, he said that three things are associated with any journey – memories, emotions and inspiration. While giving instructions, he said that the devotees coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand for Kanwar Yatra should not face any kind of problem and the devotees coming for the Yatra should take pleasant memories and pleasant experiences from Devbhoomi. He said that the person who goes towards the solution of the problem, the solution itself comes towards that person. He said that the solution to most of the complex problems is very simple.
The Governor said that if any kind of problem arises during the Yatra, then work should be done towards solving the problem at the same place at a fast pace. He discussed in detail how to improve more in traffic regulation, health and all the facilities in the management.
During this, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, SSP Pramod Singh Dobal, SP Jitendra Mehra and all the officers gave detailed information about the experiences, challenges etc. related to Kanwar Yatra. ASP Jitendra Chaudhary gave detailed information about the various arrangements made for the devotees including the Kanwar Yatra route, route plan through a power point presentation. He encouraged and honored the cook Suresh Rawat working diligently at Damkothi.
During the press conference, he said that it is a matter of good fortune for every Uttarakhandi that in this holy month of Sawan, he is very happy to see the devotees coming for the Kanwar Yatra, because their devotion, service and dedication is of a different standard in itself. It is a pleasure that the planning and hard work done by the government and administration is yielding results today, the entire Kanwar Yatra is being conducted very beautifully. The biggest challenge for us is that a large number of devotees come within such a short period of time. Last year, the experience was that more than 4 crore devotees came within 15 days. He said that apart from the challenge, it is a matter of great fortune for us that we are getting an opportunity to serve the devotees of Shiva. He said that seeing Shiv devotees as Kanwariyas, it seems that they give an example to all of us that how we should take a resolution in life. The Kanwar Yatris whom I met, there is no tiredness on their faces at all, the feeling of resolution is visible on their faces. He said that the Kanwariyas have left home on 11th, have walked such a long distance carrying Kanwar, they must be very tired by now, but the way I saw them, met them and talked to them, it felt that they have got more strength. When you are in Haridwar, in Uttarakhand, then there is a different feeling of divinity, grandeur, sanctity, purity. The government, administration, police and social workers are working very beautifully and there is coordination, harmony among them. Everyone has the same thought in their heart that how the journey of every devotee should be successful. Another good fortune is that Kumbh will be held in 2027, a trailer of it also becomes like an experience. More than 40 lakh pilgrims have come on Chardham Yatra.
During this, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, SSP Pramod Singh Dobal, SP City Pankaj Gairola, SP Crime and Traffic Jitendra Mehra, SP Communication Vipin Kumar, ASP Jitendra Chaudhary, SP Niharika Tomar, Additional District Magistrate PR Chauhan, City Magistrate Kushm Chauhan, Secretary HRDA Manish Singh and other concerned officials were present.
