Dehradun: There is a ban on compulsory transfer of teachers on the basis of easy and inaccessible areas in the state, but transfers did not happen even on the basis of request. According to departmental officials, after the code of conduct, transfers can happen on request and mutual basis.
The education department has shown one primary and secondary school in the same campus as inaccessible and the other in accessible category. The transfer of teachers is pending since this matter reached the High Court. According to the officials of the education department, a reply has been filed in the High Court to clarify the status of easy and inaccessible in the case.
There are many teachers in the state who are seriously ill. Transfers can be done on the basis of the request of these teachers. Apart from this, transfers of teachers can also happen on mutual basis.
