Principal of Ramnagar Pyarelal Nandkishore Galwalia Government Post Graduate College, Dr. MC Pandey said that for a long time there was no facility for teachers to stay in the college. Due to this, many teachers used to come and go daily from nearby cities. They had to live in expensive and inconvenient houses. He said that teachers were not able to get accommodation according to their level. Due to which there were many problems.
Dr. Pandey said that a proposal was sent to the government by the college administration. In which a residential building was demanded for 8 teachers and 4 non-teaching staff. The Uttarakhand government has accepted this proposal and approved an amount of Rs 8 crore. Based on the detailed project report (DPR), the technical committee can make some changes. The total amount has been approved. Construction work will start soon.
The principal said that this scheme is not only a facility for the teachers but is also important for maintaining the security and discipline of the college campus. There used to be unnecessary gathering of outsiders in the campus, which can now be stopped due to the new residential arrangement.
