Dehradun: The process of election of new state president in BJP can start soon. State election officer Khajan Das has indicated that the election of state president will be held by 15 June. BJP’s state in-charge Dushyant Gautam, who reached Uttarakhand today, has also indicated this.
Due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor, the process of election of state president in BJP could not start. However, earlier it was believed that the state organization will get a new state president by 30 April. Now that the tension on the Indo-Pak border has reduced and the situation is also becoming normal, BJP has started its organizational activities.
Announcement of observer anytime to conduct elections
BJP’s state election officer Khajan Das says that before the election of the national president, state presidents have to be elected in the states. This process can start anytime in the state by 15 June. The central leadership can announce an observer anytime to conduct the election of the state president. The election process will start with the deployment of observers.
At present, the command of the state organization is in the hands of Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt. Before the election process of the state president began, he was considered the strongest contender for this post. In the changed circumstances, more names of contenders may emerge.
