A review meeting, chaired by Dehradun District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan, was held at the NIC auditorium to discuss the grand and well-organized execution of the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival 2026.
Key points decided during the meeting:
• Arrangements and Security: In anticipation of a large influx of tourists, special focus will be placed on traffic management, security, cleanliness, the availability of drinking water, and the quality of roads.
• Showcase of Heritage and Culture: Mussoorie’s historical monuments and buildings will be beautified and integrated into the carnival. Programs centered on local history, folk art, and traditional hill cuisine will be organized to introduce these elements to tourists.
• Economy and Employment: The objective of the event extends beyond mere entertainment; it aims to boost tourism and create livelihood opportunities for local traders, hoteliers, and artists.
• Innovation: Successful models from other tourism festivals across the country will be studied and adapted to suit local conditions.
