In the Uttarakhand Department of School Education, 18 (one and a half dozen) Deputy Directors of Education have been promoted to the vacant posts of Joint Director of Education and assigned new postings. Following approval from Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Education Secretary Jyoti Yadav issued the orders for these promotions and postings. Dr. Rawat stated that promotion is a fundamental right of personnel and that the experience of these officers will further strengthen the education system.
Key new appointments:
• CEO positions: Jagdish Prasad Kala (Dehradun), Sanjeev Joshi (Haridwar), Suresh Chandra Arya (Nainital), Premlal Bharti (Uttarkashi), Vinay Arya (Bageshwar), Pushkar Lal Tamta (Udham Singh Nagar), Chandi Prasad Raturi (Champawat), and Amit Kotiyal (Chamoli).
• Directorate and other assignments: Vijaypal Singh (Head of Department, SIEMAT), Chandan Singh Bisht (Joint Director, Directorate General), Govind Ram Jaiswal (Joint Director, Directorate General, and in-charge Additional Director, Secondary Education), Akash Saraswat (Principal, DIET, Roorkee), and Manju Bharti (Principal, DIET, Dehradun).
• Tarun Kumar Pant has been appointed as Additional Secretary of the School Education Board, while Ranjeet Singh Negi will take charge as the CEO of Pauri in the coming days.
