The dispute regarding the operation of private stage carriage buses in the Garhwal region over the past 2-3 days has been resolved, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of bus services. Addressing the inconvenience caused to the public, a crucial meeting was held at the Divisional Transport Office, chaired by Sandeep Saini, RTO (Administration) of the Dehradun Division, involving all bus unions and Roadways officials.
Key decisions from the meeting:
• Adherence to Timetable: All buses will operate strictly according to the temporary timetable determined based on the countersignatures and endorsements by RTA Dehradun. No new bus service will commence without a designated timetable.
• Strict Action Against Obstruction: Strict legal action—including the cancellation of permits—will be taken against any bus union found obstructing bus operations, illegally stopping buses, or engaging in physical altercations.
The meeting was attended by ARTOs from Vikasnagar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun; Roadways officials; and the presidents of various unions, including TGMO and GMOU
