A meeting chaired by Banshidhar Tiwari, Vice Chairman of the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), approved plans for the renovation of the ISBT and Mall complex, as well as improvements to passenger amenities.
Key decisions include:
• Rent and Kiosks: Shop and kiosk rents will be revised, and existing licensees will be relocated to new kiosks.
• Passenger Amenities: Passenger facilities will be enhanced by shifting ground-floor offices to the first floor. Modern restrooms will be installed, and platform flooring will be replaced in a phased manner.
• Security and Traffic: Dedicated cab booths will be set up for Ola and Uber, police patrolling will be increased, and street lights and power cables will be replaced.
• Beautification of the Mall: Priority will be given to beautification works and addressing issues such as waterlogging, alongside the installation of chiller systems, drinking water panels, and pump rooms within the Mall complex.
Officials have been instructed to complete all tasks within a stipulated timeframe.
