Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. During the event, ‘Vande Mataram’ was sung collectively, and the Chief Minister administered the pledge of national unity to all officials and staff members.
Extending his best wishes to the people of the state, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by freedom fighters and brave soldiers. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is rapidly advancing towards realizing the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). To fulfill this resolve, every citizen must contribute with utmost dedication in their respective fields of work.
Shri Dhami affirmed that the state government is fully committed to the holistic and sustainable development of Uttarakhand. Continuous efforts are being made to transform Uttarakhand into the best state in the country through public participation and the cooperation of all. Independence Day serves as a reminder of our duties towards the nation.
