A public hearing regarding various grievance cases was held on Tuesday at the Commission’s office, presided over by Sanjay Negi, Chairman of the Uttarakhand Other Backward Classes (OBC) Commission. During the session, detailed deliberations were conducted on a total of 10 cases received from different districts of the state, three of which were resolved on the spot.
Serious issues such as land encroachment, appointments, salary payments, ration shops, and the Old Pension Scheme were raised during the hearing.
Key Directives and Actions:
โข Land and Security Matter: Regarding the land dispute involving Mrs. Nandini Gusain from Tehri, the police gave assurances that action would be taken once the situation was clarified, and that security would be provided to the complainant.
โข Appointments and Salary: In the case concerning the appointment and salary payment of Satish Kumar from Haridwar, the Forest Development Corporation was directed to submit a report within 15 days.
โข Ration Shop: Following a complaint by Ahsan Ansari from Haridwar, the Food Department was instructed to take positive action.
โข Return of Belongings: In the case involving Saroj Kumar from Dehradun, the police were directed to hear both parties and submit a report within 15 days.
Commission Vice-Chairman Shyam Dobhal, Secretary Gordhan Singh, along with all other honorable members and departmental officials, were present during the hearing.
