Alok Kumar Pandey, the newly appointed Municipal Commissioner of the Dehradun Municipal Corporation, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal at the Municipal Corporation office on Tuesday. During the meeting, a detailed and constructive discussion took place between the two regarding the city’s sanitation system, street lighting, the Swachhata Survekshan (Cleanliness Survey), and various development projects.
During the meeting, Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal emphasized that the Municipal Corporation’s top priority is to provide improved civic amenities to the city’s residents. He stated that special campaigns would be launched to improve Dehradun’s ranking in the Swachhata Survekshan. Furthermore, special emphasis will be placed on making the city’s sanitation system more effective and on ensuring the swift resolution of issues related to street lighting. To achieve this, all officials, employees, and councilors will work together with coordination and a spirit of teamwork.
During the visit, Municipal Commissioner Alok Kumar Pandey presented a bouquet of flowers to Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal. Both officials also deliberated on the framework of the Municipal Corporation’s upcoming plans, with the aim of further accelerating development initiatives.
