Today, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal inspected Ward 34 (Govindgarh) alongside the local Councilor, Mahendra Kaur Kukreja. During the inspection, the condition of the small Bindal drain was assessed.
On this occasion, the Councilor apprised the Mayor that residents of the area have been facing various difficulties for a long time due to the accumulation of filth in the drain. Furthermore, damage to the drain and its retaining walls at several locations is causing inconvenience to the public.
Issuing directives to the concerned officials, Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal stated that the residents’ grievances must be resolved expeditiously, and immediate necessary action must be ensured regarding the repair and construction of the damaged retaining walls and the drain.
The Mayor affirmed that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to resolving public issues and is continuously working to enhance basic amenities across the wards.
Present at the site were former Councilor Surendra Singh Kukreja, A.P.S. Beniwal, Raju Verma, Jatin Kukreja, Ricky Verma, Tanishk Ahuja, and local residents.
