A case of fraud involving Rs 25 lakh has come to light in the Rajpur area, wherein a woman was duped under the pretext of dealing with an alleged PA to Rahul Gandhi. The victim has filed a written complaint regarding this matter at the Rajpur Police Station, demanding strict action against the accused.
According to the written complaint, Bhavna Pandey, a resident of Pinnacle Residency, has alleged that certain individuals contacted her, claiming to be close associates of Rahul Gandhi. One of the accused identified himself as “PA Kanishk” and, to establish credibility, allegedly arranged conversations over speakerphone with several political figures.
The victim states that the accused gained her trust by claiming that several Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) were staying at a five-star hotel in Dehradun and that immediate funds were required to cover their expenses. In return, she was assured of receiving political benefits.
The accused claimed to be connected to leaders and MLAs from various states.
According to the complaint, approximately Rs 25 lakh was handed over to the accused through various channels on April 13, 2026. This included both withdrawals from bank accounts and cash payments. It is alleged that after receiving the money, the accused began stalling and subsequently ceased all contact.
The woman has also claimed that the accused represented themselves as being connected to various political leaders and MLAs across different states. PD Bhatt, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajpur Police Station, stated that based on the written complaint, an FIR has been registered, and the police are conducting a serious investigation into the matter
