The National Statistical Department has launched a Household Income Survey in Uttarakhand. The survey is scheduled to continue until March 2027. A team of statistical officials will conduct door-to-door visits to compile data regarding the income of each household derived from various sources.
This marks the first time that a National Household Income Survey is being conducted in the country. The survey commenced in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The objective of the survey is to gather information regarding each household’s income derived from salaries, agriculture, business, wages, and other sources, thereby enabling an assessment of the nation’s actual income status.
Nitish Kumar Mishra, Deputy Director of the National Statistical Department’s Regional Office, stated that the Household Income Survey was initiated in Uttarakhand on April 1st. The survey team will visit households individually to collect details regarding each family’s income. This survey is expected to lay a crucial foundation toward achieving the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047).
