The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), under the leadership of Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari, is taking strict and continuous action against illegal constructions and unauthorized plotting in its jurisdiction. Various MDDA teams are actively inspecting their respective sectors and ensuring the sealing of illegal constructions and the demolition of illegal plots. The authority’s clear objective is to promote planned development, establish effective control over those who violate the rules, and provide citizens with the benefits of safe, well-organized, and legal development. The MDDA administration has clarified that any type of construction or commercial activity being carried out without approval will not be tolerated. This campaign will continue to ensure development in accordance with the rules, and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Meanwhile, sealing action was taken today against several illegal constructions within the MDDA area. Sealing action was implemented against illegal constructions carried out by Aryan Chaudhary on Dehradun-Malsi-Mussoorie Road, and against illegal constructions by Sandeep Khurana and Manish Khurana. This entire operation was duly completed under the orders of Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal, in the presence of Assistant Engineer Shailendra Singh Rawat, Junior Engineer Umesh Verma, the concerned supervisor, and police personnel.
In addition, strict action was taken against illegal commercial construction by Yameen and Aamir on Graphic Era University Road in Dehradun, and the property was sealed. This action was also carried out in accordance with the rules, under the instructions of Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal, in the presence of Assistant Engineer Nishant Kukreti, Junior Engineers Jaideep and Neha, and the supervisor.

MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said that illegal construction and unauthorized plotting are unacceptable under any circumstances in the authority’s area. He clarified that planned development is the MDDA’s top priority, and strict steps are being taken against those who violate the rules. He said that special vigilance is being maintained against illegal activities in sensitive areas such as Sahastradhara Road, Malsi-Mussoorie Road, and Graphic Era University Road. Appealing to the general public, he said that it is essential to obtain approval from the MDDA before starting any construction work to avoid any legal action in the future. He informed that the concerned officers and technical teams conduct on-site inspections, after which sealing or demolition action is taken as per the rules.
