New Delhi: The All India Congress Committee organized a mega rally titled ‘Vote Thieves, Leave the Throne’ at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. Addressing the rally, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a scathing attack on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and the Election Commission. From the rally stage, Rahul Gandhi named Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioner Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and Dr. Vineet Joshi, saying that the public will remember these people. They are supporting the Modi government in stealing votes.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that they will also change the process of appointing election commissioners. He urged the people at the rally to remember these three names. Rahul Gandhi also attacked RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and his ideology. He said that the RSS ideology works to break the country.
“When I was coming here, I was told that Mohan Bhagwat had given a statement in Andaman and Nicobar. Gandhiji used to say that truth is the most important thing; in our religion, truth is considered the most important. But listen to Mohan Bhagwat’s statement: ‘The world sees power, not truth; whoever has power is respected.’ This is Mohan Bhagwat’s thinking, this is the RSS ideology. Our ideology, the ideology of Hindustan, Hinduism, and every religion in the world says that truth is the most important, but Mohan Bhagwat says that truth is meaningless, power is important.” “I guarantee you that by standing for the truth, by upholding the truth, we will remove the Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and RSS government from power,” – Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP
People’s Movement Against Vote Theft
Addressing the rally, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that the people of the country have now woken up against this vote theft. They will not allow any more vote theft. The BJP wants to remain in power by stealing votes. The BJP has won elections in Haryana, Bihar, and several other states by stealing votes. Priyanka also said that the public will now launch a mass movement against this vote theft. “Today, there is hardly one or two debates in a single session of Parliament. When Rahul Gandhi and Kharge ji raised the issue that we want to debate on elections, on the SIR (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program), on vote theft, they got scared. They didn’t listen to us. Finally, they agreed to discuss even Vande Mataram. We kept debating in Parliament about whose national anthem it is, how the national anthem was created, why the national anthem was created, but they don’t have the courage to discuss the big problems that you are facing โ unemployment, inflation, paper leaks. I challenge them (BJP) to fight a fair election, to fight on the ballot paper, and they themselves know that they will never win,” – Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress MP
Rahul Gandhi is Fighting for the People of the Country
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the BJP has initiated the SIR program only to remain in power. Their conspiracy is to prevent the votes of opposition parties from being added to the voter list and to get the votes of existing voters removed. At the same time, they are getting their own supporters’ votes registered in three different places so that they can benefit in every election. Mallikarjun Kharge further said, “It is our duty to strengthen the fight that Rahul Gandhi is waging for this country, for its people. If you do not strengthen those ideas, it will be your loss, it will be the country’s loss. Only the ideology of the Congress party can save the country.” A large number of Congress workers from all states attended the rally. The rally was addressed by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, both from Congress-ruled states, as well as state presidents from Manipur, Assam, Punjab, Haryana, and other states. Revanth Reddy began his speech with the slogan “Jai Congress.”
Revanth Reddy also targeted the RSS.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “The RSS prevented poor people from voting when democracy was established. Then Babasaheb Ambedkar gave the poor the right to vote. We have gathered at Ramlila Maidan today to defeat the ideology of Golwalkar and the RSS. We need to strengthen Rahul Gandhi. We are here from Telangana.” It is noteworthy that Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary also addressed the rally. Earlier, from 10:00 AM onwards, crowds of Congress workers began arriving at Ramlila Maidan. Ramlila Maidan was filled with Congress workers, and a large number of workers were also present outside the grounds. Congress workers from Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, and other states had also arrived to participate in the rally.
