Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today visited the Martyr’s Memorial in Mussoorie on the occasion of Uttarakhand Statehood Day (Silver Jubilee) and paid tribute to statehood agitators Balbir Singh Negi, Dhanpat Singh, Rai Singh Bangari, Madan Mohan Mamgain, Belmati Chauhan, and Hansa Dhanai by garlanding their statues.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the formation of Uttarakhand was the result of the agitators’ tireless struggle and sacrifice. He said that every citizen of Uttarakhand should express gratitude to those brave agitators who made the vision of a separate state a reality. He also recalled the contribution of the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in establishing Uttarakhand and said that under his visionary leadership, Uttarakhand achieved statehood, for which the entire state will always be grateful.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that today, having completed 25 years of its establishment, the state is moving towards new heights. The state government is committed to making Uttarakhand a leading state in the country, in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Cabinet Minister said that the Silver Jubilee year is an opportunity for inspiration for all of us to contribute to the overall development of the state by imbibing the ideals of the visionaries of Uttarakhand.
During this, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also enquired about the well-being of the tourists who had come to Mussoorie and obtained information from them about their tourism experiences in the state.
Municipal Council President Meera Saklani, Mohan Petwal, Sikandar, Dharampal Pawar, Arvind Semwal, Kamla Thapliyal, Anita Dhanai, Gauri Thapliyal, Jashoda Sharma, Sita Panwar were present on this occasion.
