The Youth Festival will be held from November 6th to November 8th to mark the silver jubilee of the state’s founding. On Tuesday, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya reviewed preparations for the festival with departmental officials.
Following a meeting at the camp office in Yamuna Colony, Sports Minister Rekha Arya stated that the Youth Festival will include folk dance, folk song, writing, and speech competitions. For the first time this year, online entries are being accepted for the competitions. Cultural events will be held every evening.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya stated that departmental officials have been instructed to contact various government and private schools to participate in this year’s Youth Festival, ensuring maximum participation of youth.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya stated that the meeting also reviewed the plan for training provided by the Sports Department to youth preparing for Agniveer recruitment. She stated that this training will begin in the first week of November, and necessary arrangements have been made at all district headquarters.
The Cabinet Minister stated that there is considerable enthusiasm among the youth of all districts in the state for this, and so far, more than 600 youth have registered online for the training.
Special Chief Sports Secretary Amit Sinha, Additional Director Ajay Agarwal, Principal of Maharana Pratap Sports College Rajesh Manmgai, Deputy Director Shakti Singh, etc. were present at the meeting.
