The weather changed this afternoon in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. As soon as the palanquin of Mother Yamuna reached its maternal home, rain and hailstorm started in the nearby Kharsali village, Janakichatti, Narayan Puri Phoolchatti area including Yamunotri Dham.
Devotees returning with the palanquin are stranded at many places due to rain and hailstorm. The cold has increased due to the rain and hailstorm that lasted for about an hour. At the same time, there was light rain in Badrinath Dham and snowfall started on the high peaks.
