Krishnagiri: A terrible accident took place on the Bangalore-Chennai national highway in Tamil Nadu on the morning of October 12. Four vehicles collided one after another on the Bengaluru-Chennai national highway near Hosur. Four people died on the spot in the accident. After this terrible incident, there were screams on the spot. Police are investigating the incident.
How the accident happened:
According to the police investigation, a car was going from Hosur to Krishnagiri in the early hours of October 12. At that time, in the Perandapalli forest area on the Bangalore-Chennai national highway, the car collided with a lorry moving ahead and crashed. After this, a pickup van collided with the crashed car. At the same time, another car came and collided with a pickup van, a lorry and a car. Four vehicles were involved in an accident.
Death of youths in the car:
The car was smashed between a lorry and a pickup van. Four persons travelling in the car died on the spot. The police reached the spot after receiving information about the collision of four vehicles. Locals pulled out those trapped in the car, but all had died by then. The bodies of the deceased were sent to a government hospital for post-mortem.
Police is investigating:
Subsequently, the Hosur ATCO police have registered a case. According to police, one of the people in the car was Mugilan (30), a resident of Omalur area of Salem district. He was preparing for the UPSC exam in Bengaluru. It is also learnt that his friends were also present during this visit.
Traffic affected:
Traffic on the Bengaluru-Chennai national highway was disrupted for some time due to the accident. There was a long queue of vehicles. Police immediately removed the accident vehicles and restored traffic.
