Jalgaon: A major train accident was averted in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra on Wednesday. The moving Pushpak Express train caught fire. As soon as the loco pilot learned of the incident, he immediately stopped the train and brought the fire under control. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
According to officials, the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express (train number 12533) left for Mumbai from Bhusawal railway station on Wednesday at the scheduled time. There was a technical problem in the train between Bhusawal and Bhadli. Smoke came out due to friction in the brake system near the wheels of the S-4 sleeper coach. On seeing the smoke, the driver and staff immediately stopped the train. The working train manager and other employees used fire extinguishers to completely control the smoke. “There was no fire in the train,”the railway administration said.” No passenger was injured or injured. After ensuring safety, the train was safely diverted to Mumbai. The railway administration has appealed to passengers to ignore rumours and rely on the railway’s instructions, website or helpline for official information.
