The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has taken strict action against illegal construction in Rishikesh. On Monday, the MDDA team sealed the illegal multi-story building being constructed by Bhuvan Rawat in Gali No. 9, Nirmal Bagh, Block B, Rishikesh. Assistant Engineer Shashank Saxena, Junior Engineers Manish Dimri, Amit Bhardwaj, Supervisors Birendra Khanduri, Satish Kumar, and police were present at the scene during the action. MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari stated that the authority’s priority is to stop unauthorized construction in the city and surrounding areas. Construction that violates the rules will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The public is also advised to obtain MDDA approval before any construction. The MDDA has clarified that similar strict action against such illegal constructions will continue in the future
