Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Laksar in Haridwar today amid heavy rains. Here he sat in a tractor and conducted a field inspection of the disaster-affected submerged areas. At the same time, CM Dhami directly communicated with the affected families and learned their problems. Along with this, he instructed the officers to speed up the relief work. He said that assured arrangements should be made for the safety, housing, food and health facilities of the affected people and any kind of negligence in relief work will not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister said that the state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. We will provide all possible assistance and rescue operations will be given priority. Every family affected by the disaster will be provided as much assistance as possible by the government.
During the field inspection, the Chief Minister visited many villages of Haridwar and took stock of waterlogging, damaged roads, broken bridges and houses surrounded by water. The CM said that the families who need to be relocated should be sent to safe places. The compensation process should be started soon by quickly assessing the crop damage to the farmers.
