Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today inaugurated the marathon organized by Doon Youth Foundation on the theme against drug abuse at Parade Ground Dehradun. He infused enthusiasm among the youth by flagging off the 10 km race.
On this occasion, Minister Joshi said that for a healthy society, it is essential for every person to be healthy. All the happiness and success of life are possible only with a healthy body. He said that for a healthy mind, speech and action, it is necessary to have a healthy body.
Minister Joshi called upon the youth to take a pledge of โDrugs Free Uttarakhandโ and said that drug addiction not only weakens the individual but the entire society. He advised to make physical exercise a part of the daily routine and made the participants aware about the ill effects of drug addiction. At the end of the program, the Cabinet Minister also encouraged the winners of the marathon by felicitating them.
On this occasion, Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, Sikander, Poonam Nautiyal, Gaurav Dangwal and many others were present.
