Yellow alert for rain has been issued in all the hill districts of Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain with thunder in these districts. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in plain districts like Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.
Meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal said that light to moderate rain may occur in many districts including Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Champawat. He said that after the weather cleared for the last two-three days, the temperature of Doon has also increased. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Doon was recorded at 33 and the minimum temperature at 24.5 degrees. The temperature is likely to remain the same even today.
101 roads opened in the state but 187 roads are still closed
Out of the 288 roads closed in the state due to rain and landslides, only 101 could be opened till Wednesday. Still 187 roads are closed in the state. In this, 20 roads are closed in Tehri, 31 in Chamoli, 23 in Rudraprayag, 18 in Pauri, 22 in Uttarkashi, 14 in Dehradun, 1 in Haridwar, 22 in Pithoragarh, 23 in Almora, 7 in Bageshwar and 6 in Nainital.
No road is closed in Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar. People are facing problems due to closed roads. The Public Works Department has deployed 671 JCBs on various routes to open the closed roads
