The problem of Yamunotri valley is getting complicated due to continuous rain. Due to debris, falling of stones and landslides at many places on Yamunotri Highway, the traffic is completely halted for the 12th day also. The situation is such that even walking has become difficult at many places.
The disaster affected people are in more trouble due to the disruption of electricity and network services in the area for a week. On the other hand, due to rising water level of Yamuna river at Syana Chatti, water is flowing over the motor bridge, though the flow of the river continues normally. At the same time, cracks are also visible in residential houses and hotels in Kharadi town located on Yamunotri Highway
