Preparations have begun for the Winter Line Carnival, to be held from December 24th to 29th in Mussoorie, the Queen of the Hills, today. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi held a review meeting regarding the carnival preparations. He provided detailed guidelines to the concerned departments to ensure a grand and successful carnival.
In the meeting, activities such as a procession, cultural programs, adventure sports, competitions, seminars, traditional events, a food festival, a motorbike rally, a marathon, nature walks, stargazing, history walks, and a vintage rally were discussed in detail to ensure an attractive and grand carnival. The Minister directed officials to prepare the outline of all programs in a timely manner and ensure their effective implementation.
Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that to ensure that tourists visiting Mussoorie, the Queen of the Hills, do not face any inconvenience during the carnival period, all arrangements, including parking, traffic management, security arrangements, drinking water and electricity supply, bonfire arrangements, and cleanliness, should be completed on time. Giving priority to local artists and the culture of Uttarakhand, he stressed on organising various cultural programmes in the week-long carnival
