Dehradun: The weather changed today in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. It rained in many areas including Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri in the morning. This has also brought down the temperature. On the other hand, the heat is scorching people in the plains.
At the same time, the road connecting Kaunj Pothni village has been disrupted due to heavy rain in Kujaun Mekot area in Chamoli district. Due to the rain, there is fog in the river valley since morning. At the same time, the weather is bad in Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib as well as high altitude areas.
There is still a delay in the arrival of monsoon in the state
After the humid heat for the last five days, people have got relief from light rain. But, it will take more time for the monsoon to arrive in the state. However, light to moderate rain in different parts will give relief to the people from the humid heat. According to meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal, light to moderate rain will be seen in different parts of the state till June 16. At the same time, monsoon is also expected to arrive only after June 20. However, before that the weather will be full of relief due to light drizzle.
