Dehradun: Heavy rains continue in Uttarakhand. At the same time, the water level of Rispana river has increased significantly due to continuous heavy rains in the capital Dehradun. Due to the rise in the Rispana river, there has been a situation of waterlogging in the surrounding areas. People of many houses have been forced to come out for safety. The administration has issued an alert and appealed to the people living in low-lying areas to be cautious.
Life has been affected due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Waterlogging is being seen in many districts of the state. Due to which pedestrians, bike riders and four-wheeler riders are facing problems. The water level of Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag district has been recorded at 626.10 meters, which is above the danger mark. Apart from this, the road has been blocked due to a large boulder on the Madmaheshwar pedestrian path.
Rescue teams have been sent to the spot. In view of heavy rains, the concerned departments have been instructed to maintain vigilance in their areas. At the same time, due to heavy rains, rivers and streams are overflowing in the state and many connecting roads are constantly being obstructed. Due to which people are facing problems.
Dehradun Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at some places in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. In view of heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.
