Dehradun: Heavy rain is expected in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand on Thursday. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in some areas of Rudraprayag, Nainital and Bageshwar districts including Dehradun. Light rain is expected in other districts. Talking about the coming days, there is a possibility of heavy rain across the state till July 14. In view of heavy rain in Dehradun, all schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 will remain closed on July 10.

According to the operations centre, 17 roads are closed in Chamoli district, nine in Bageshwar, one in Almora, three in Champawat, five in Dehradun, seven in Nainital, six in Pauri, 15 in Pithoragarh, four in Rudraprayag and eight in Tehri, while 12 roads, including a highway, are closed in Uttarkashi district.
