Dehradun: The State Election Commission expects more than 70 percent voting in the Panchayat elections this time too. In the three-tier Panchayat elections held in October 2019, 69.59 percent voting took place.
Talking about the last election, among the 12 districts, the highest voting took place in Udham Singh Nagar and the lowest voting took place in Almora district. In Garhwal division, Uttarkashi was ahead in voters. About 84.26 percent voting took place in Udham Singh Nagar. 78.43 percent voting took place in Uttarkashi. 60.04 percent voting took place in Almora, 67.82 in Champawat, 75.07 in Nainital, 65.54 in Pithoragarh, 63.99 percent voting took place in Bageshwar.
In Garhwal division, Chamoli recorded 65.65% voting, Tehri 61.19%, Dehradun 77.54%, Pauri 61.79% and Rudraprayag 62.98% voting. This time the number of voters has increased by about five lakhs. It is believed that the voting percentage may also increase to 70 to 75%.

Khirsu, Pabau, Thalisain, Nainidanda, Bironkhal, Rikhnikhal, Ekeshwar and Pokhra of Pauri Garhwal and Ukhimath, Jakholi and Agastyamuni of Rudraprayag.
NDRF, SDRF, DDRF deployed
In view of the monsoon, the Election Commission has deployed NDRF, SDRF, DDRF as per the requirement. These teams have also been deployed along with polling parties at sensitive booths in view of the disaster.
