New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a dinner for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs on September 8, a day before the Vice Presidential election on September 9.
A senior NDA leader shared this information and said that such events always prove useful in strengthening the unity of the alliance. He said, although our candidate CP Radhakrishnan has the full support of all NDA allies, this dinner will help ensure coordination and unity among the MPs during voting. The Vice President will be elected through the single transferable vote through the proportional representation system. To be declared elected, any candidate must get more than 50 percent of the valid votes cast.
