Patna: Vice President C. Radhakrishnan is on a tour of Bihar. After the event in Patna on Sunday, he will leave for Muzaffarpur, where he will worship Maa Chamunda Devi. This is his first visit to Bihar after becoming Vice President. The administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the event.
The Vice President’s visit is a proud moment for Bihar. Salute to the father of democracy Jai Prakash Narayan, then participate in the festival that gives a new identity to literature at the global level and then go to the Maa Chamunda Devi temple in Muzaffarpur.
Tribute to JP: After coming to Patna airport, first of all JP will pay floral tributes to the statue of Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan at 10:55 am at Golmbar. JP is considered the guardian of democracy. His bow on this occasion will be an opportunity to remember the democratic heritage of Bihar.
Unmesh Sahitya Mahotsav: After the tribute program, the Vice President will attend the closing session of the ‘Unmesh: International Literature Festival’ at 11:10. The three-day festival has given a common platform to literati, poets and artists. The Vice President’s address at the conclusion is believed to give a new direction to literature and culture.
Religious event in Muzaffarpur: After staying in Patna at 1:00 pm, the Vice President’s convoy will go to Muzaffarpur. Where the famous Maa Chamunda Devi temple in Katra will offer darshan and worship. His visit in the holy month of Navratri will convey a message of religious faith and cultural connection. The local administration has made special security arrangements in the temple premises and surrounding areas.
Administrative preparations: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will welcome the Vice President at the Patna airport. At the same time, the district administration from Patna to Muzaffarpur has been put on alert mode. Additional police force has been deployed to improve the traffic situation.
Traffic diversion: A day before the arrival of the Vice President in Muzaffarpur, an Indian Air Force helicopter made a trial landing and take-off on three helipads built near Bhadai Chowk. Two control rooms and two temporary stop rooms have been built near the helipad site. Traffic has also been diverted to the route of the Vice President’s convoy.
Deployment of 500 security forces: Entry of the general public from Unchas Mor to Katra will be restricted before and till the return on Sunday. SSP Sushil Kumar said that barricades have been made on both sides of the temple and the road. Magistrates and senior officers will be deployed at various places along with 500 security personnel.
DM Subrata Sen inspected the resting room and other arrangements made in the temple premises. Two temporary toilets were built near the temple. Internet modems and other devices were installed for Wi-Fi connectivity from the helipad to the temple. Metal detectors have also been installed at the main and back entrance of the temple.
Sworn in on September 12: C. Radhakrishnan is the 15th Vice President of the country. On September 12, he took the oath of office and secrecy. After Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation, C. Radhakrishnan became the vice president. Elections were held in Parliament on September 9.
There have been senior BJP leaders: C. Radhakrishnan has been a senior BJP leader. He has been a two-time MP from Coimbatore and the state president of Tamil Nadu BJP. His term as Vice President will be for 5 years.
