To ensure transparency, quality, and timeliness in development projects undertaken by the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari is conducting regular inspections. In this regard, today, December 1, 2025, he conducted a surprise inspection of various ongoing construction projects in Doiwala, Rishikesh, and surrounding areas. The primary objective of this inspection was to review the quality of the work being carried out by the Authority, test the materials being used, and verify the progress of public utility projects.
*Doiwala Park: Special Focus on Pahari Culture and Aesthetic Development*
Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari inspected the modern park being developed by the MDDA in Doiwala. He reviewed the quality of the Pahari-style murals, selfie points, grass paintings, and images of deities. He gave clear instructions that all artistic creations must meet high standards and adequately represent local cultural traditions. He directed the concerned officials to regularly monitor all ongoing work in the park and initiate necessary improvements immediately to provide an attractive and clean environment for local residents and visiting tourists. The Vice President also inspected the Moksha Dham, constructed by the Municipal Corporation, and reviewed the underground structure, beautification, and utility facilities being developed by the authority. He stated that Moksha Dham is a sensitive site, where the facilities must be upgraded with the highest level of quality.
*Multilevel Parking Under Construction in Rishikesh*
Vice President Tiwari also inspected the multilevel parking and office building under construction in Rishikesh. This project is crucial in alleviating the parking crisis for local residents and the large number of tourists visiting daily. During the inspection, he closely examined the construction materials, structural strength, site management, and security arrangements. He directed officials, engineers, and the implementing agency to ensure timely completion of the work, ensure the use of high-quality materials, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards at the site. He also stated that this project will add a new dimension to Rishikesh’s traffic system and play a significant role in streamlining tourism in the coming years.
Inspection of Rishikesh Camp Office
During the inspection, the Vice President also visited the Rishikesh Camp Office. Here, he reviewed office arrangements, document management, project progress reports, and the resolution of public service complaints. He directed officials to accelerate public hearings and field visits, and to regularly submit reports on all construction work to the Authority headquarters.

Executive Engineer Sunil Kumar, Junior Engineer, Assistant Engineer Shashank Saxena, Junior Engineer Sunil Upreti, Principal Garden Superintendent Bhanu Priya, Usman Ali, and several employees of the implementing agency were present during the inspection. Vice President Tiwari gave clear instructions to all that quality and civic amenities should be the top priority in all MDDA projects. He stated that the Authority’s goal is to ensure timely completion of quality development works in the public interest. The objective of the MDDA’s inspections and directives is to ensure that there is no scope for negligence or delay in development work. The Authority is continuously striving to expand public facilities in the Dehradun, Doiwala, and Rishikesh areas to the highest standards and provide citizens with better urban infrastructure
