The government has deployed three IAS, three IPS officers with immediate effect for relief and rescue operations in the disaster-affected area of Uttrakhand. Apart from this, 160 employees, PAC, police have also been deployed from four districts.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Personnel Department has issued orders to deploy IAS Abhishek Ruhela, Meharban Singh Bisht and Gaurav Kumar for relief and rescue operations in the disaster-affected area with immediate effect. On the other hand, the Home Department has also issued orders to deploy IPS Pradeep Rai, Amit Srivastava I and Surjeet Singh Panwar in the disaster-affected area. They will follow the instructions of the Divisional Commissioner and IG Garhwal.
DGP Deepam Seth said that maximum police force has been sent for relief and rescue work after the disaster. Six inspectors, 54 sub-inspectors and 100 constables and head constables have been dispatched from Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Tehri. Apart from this, the C team of IRB II has been deployed under the leadership of Commandant Shweta Choubey. E-team of 40th Battalion PAC has also been sent to the disaster affected area.
