GMVN has given tourists a significant gift during the Chardham Winter Yatra. Each traveler will receive a 50% discount on fares during the journey. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, GMVN Director Pratyush Singh issued orders on Tuesday. This discount will be applicable in the three major districts of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli.
Director Pratyush Singh stated that during the Chardham Winter Yatra, worship of Yamunotri Dham is performed in Kharsali village in Uttarkashi district, and worship of Gangotri Dham is performed in Mukhwa village near the Bhagirathi. Similarly, the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Rudraprayag district, hosts the winter worship of Baba Kedar. The throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya is worshipped at the Nrisimha Temple in Jyotirmath, Chamoli, and the Badrinath Temple is worshipped at the Pandukeshwar Temple.
The Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited provides accommodation and food to tourists and pilgrims during their arrival and Chardham Yatra. In addition to the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister had directed that the Winter Chardham Yatra be conducted during the winter stay of the Dhams. In this regard, pilgrims visiting the places of worship in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli will be given a 50 percent discount on the current accommodation rates of the corporation’s hotels in the said districts
