Due to snowfall in the higher elevations yesterday, a cold wave has intensified the chill in the mountainous regions. Meanwhile, a light fog in the mornings has made the plains feel colder. Light fog is expected to persist in the plains on Friday as well. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, the weather will remain dry across the state from November 7th to 12th.
Meteorologists say that due to bright sunshine during the day, the maximum and minimum night temperatures will remain near normal, reducing the feeling of cold. On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Doon was recorded at 29.8 degrees, three degrees above normal.
While the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.6 degrees, one degree below normal. Meanwhile, the normal temperature in the hilly districts saw a drop of one degree.
