Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Silver Jubilee celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the state of Uttarakhand. Initially, the Prime Minister was scheduled to attend the Silver Jubilee celebrations at FRI on November 11th. However, his schedule has now changed. PM Modi will now attend the main event on November 9th.
The state government is working to make the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the state’s founding memorable. This is the first time the Prime Minister will be encouraging the people of the state on Statehood Day.
Silver Jubilee Celebrations to be Celebrated for 11 Days
โข November 1: Igas in the evening at the Chief Minister’s residence, followed by a Comedy Fest at the Cultural Center, Garhi Cantt.
โข November 2: Ultra Marathon organized by the Tourism Department in Jolikong and Adi Kailash, followed by a Comedy Fest in the evening at the Cultural Center, Garhi Cantt.
โข November 3: President’s address to the special session of the Legislative Assembly, and the conclusion of the Comedy Fest in the evening at the Cultural Center, Garhi Cantt.
โข November 4: Second day of the special session of the Legislative Assembly, a conference of mayors and chairpersons of municipal bodies in Kashipur, and an evening program at the Garhi Cantt Cultural Center.
โข November 5: Overseas Uttarakhandi Conference at Doon University, the Sports Department’s Hockey and Traditional Sports Championship in Haridwar, and an evening program at the Garhi Cantt Cultural Center.
โข November 6: Saint Conference in Haridwar, an employment fair at ITI Niranjanpur Doon, a youth festival at the Parade Ground, a Jan-Van Utsav in Ramnagar, Nainital, a veterans’ conference in Haldwani, and an evening program at the Cultural Center in Garhi Cantt.
โข November 7: Farmers’ Conference in Pantnagar, and an evening program at the Cultural Center in Garhi Cantt.
โข November 8: Conferences and felicitations of state agitators at the Tehsil and District Headquarters, a women’s conference in Haldwani, and an evening program at the Cultural Center in Garhi Cantt. โข November 9: Rite parade at the Police Lines, evening event at the Cultural Centre in Garhi Cantt.
โข November 10: Conference of stakeholders related to winter tourism in Dehradun, evening event at the Cultural Centre in Garhi Cantt.
