The Dehradun District Administration is organizing a marathon today to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day. District Magistrate Savin Bansal flagged off the marathon. The eight-kilometer marathon ran from Pavilion Ground via Kanak Chowk, Esley Hall, Bahl Chowk, Dilaram Chowk, Brahmakamal Chowk, NIVH, and from NIVH, back via Brahmakamal Chowk, Dilaram Chowk, and Kanak Chowk, concluding at Pavilion Ground. 700 participants took part in the marathon.
District Magistrate Savin Bansal said, “Today we are witnessing a historic occasion. On this glorious occasion of the completion of 25 years of the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day, this Doon Marathon is not just a sporting event, but a symbol of our collective resolve, unity, and an energetic Uttarakhand.”
He said that the marathon gives us the message of determination, patience, and continuous progress. Just as continuous efforts are necessary to reach the goal in a marathon, similarly continuous efforts of every citizen are necessary for the development of our state
